Gemma McGrath is a Director of Panetta McGrath Lawyers and practises in the areas health and aged care law, vocational regulation and dispute resolution. She provides advice to aged care providers regarding their legislative responsibilities, risk management, debt recovery issues and guardianship and administration matters. She also acts in professional conduct matters on behalf of various health practitioner regulatory Boards and AHPRA.
Gemma represents clients at coronial inquests and in the State Administrative Tribunal. She also acts for public hospitals in civil claims, appearing regularly in both the Supreme and District Courts of Western Australia.
Prior to studying law Gemma trained as a registered nurse and worked in a number of Queensland public and private hospitals, specialising in Intensive Care.
Gemma has also been named in the 2017 Doyle’s Guide as a Pre-eminent WA Medical Negligence Lawyer (Defendant).
