Caley is a Senior Associate practising in Criminal Defence and Health Law.
Caley represents clients charged with either minor or serious offences, ranging from serious assaults, sexual offences, and illicit drug offences, to traffic offences and restraining order matters. Caley has experience conducting a range of hearings in the Magistrates Court, including trials, sentencing hearings and bail applications, and regularly briefs counsel on jury trials, indictable sentencings, and criminal appeals. Caley has appeared as junior counsel in various District Court jury trials alongside experienced counsel and senior counsel, and has developed skills in preparing complex matters for trial. She also has experience in negotiating with prosecuting authorities to have charges discontinued or downgraded.
In 2021, Caley was listed by Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in Criminal Defence Law in Western Australia. In 2023, Caley was a Finalist in the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards in Rising Star of the Year and Senior Associate of the Year (SME Law) categories.
In addition to criminal defence, Caley practises in our health law team, advising and representing medical, dental, and allied health professionals in disciplinary proceedings in the State Administrative Tribunal, Ahpra investigations, and Coronial Inquests.

Caley was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2019, and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Australia.
Caley is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia and the Criminal Lawyers Association of Western Australia.
