Leanne Bishop

Leanne is an experienced insurance litigator focusing on the provision of advice and representation in the defence of Motor Injury Insurance claims.

Leanne is closely involved in the conduct of each claim from receipt of instructions, provision of advice on liability, indemnity, recovery, quantum assessment, claims management and settlement strategies, and undertakes negotiations to resolve claims in either an informal or formal pre-trial conference setting.  She appears for the Defendant insurer at interlocutory applications, pre-trial conferences and mediations in the District and Supreme Courts.

Leanne’s experience extends to acting on behalf of employers, insurers and self-insureds in the defence of industrial diseases (asbestos), workers’ compensation, employers’ indemnity and public liability claims.

Leanne holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science & Industrial Relations) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia.  She is a member of the Law Society of WA and the Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA).
