Amy is an Associate in our Criminal Defence team.
Amy commenced her career as a criminal lawyer at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) in February 2021. Prior to commencing with the ODPP, Amy was a Research Associate to the Honourable Michael Corboy SC at the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
During her time with the ODPP, Amy regularly appeared as counsel at disclosure committal hearings and bail applications in the Magistrates Court, and jury trials, indictable sentencings, trial of the issues, contested hearings and bail applications in the District Court. Amy has also appeared as junior counsel alongside experienced lead counsel in several District Court trials as well as a Supreme Court jury trial with senior counsel.
Amy is involved with the Piddington Society’s Practical Legal Training Program as a mentor for the criminal law unit and assists with their annual advocacy weekend. Amy is also involved with The Law Society of WA Mock Trial Competition and volunteers to judge mock trials for high school students.
In 2024, Amy was awarded the Criminal Lawyers’ Association annual Hodge Award for her contribution to the practice of criminal law in Western Australia.
Amy was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in November 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Behavioural Science from the University of Notre Dame.
