Kathryn is a Special Counsel in our Employment and Workplace Relations team.
Kathryn has represented local, national and global businesses across a wide range of industries, including construction, mining, manufacturing, maritime, retail, tourism, disabilities and transport.
Kathryn advises on all aspects of employment and industrial relations law. She assists clients with preparing employment contracts, enterprise agreements and other industrial instruments and workplace policies. Kathryn also advises on and conducts workplace investigations and defends unfair dismissal, general protections, anti-bullying, underpayments, employee entitlements and discrimination claims.
Kathryn has a particular interest in assisting clients with creating and implementing successful enterprise bargaining strategies and advises on industrial action and union right of entry.
Kathryn also advises clients in relation to work health and safety compliance and incident response.
Kathryn appears in matters before the Fair Work Commission, Federal Court, Federal Circuit Court, Magistrates Court and the WA Industrial Relations Commission. Kathryn has also instructed in the High Court of Australia.
Prior to joining Panetta McGrath, Kathryn worked for global and specialist workplace law firms in Perth and Melbourne. She also previously held the role of Employee Relations Manager for Coles Group in Melbourne.
Kathryn completed a Master of Employment and Labour Relations Law from the University of Melbourne in 2018. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws and Arts (History) from Murdoch University.
