The shared Code of conduct (the code) was first developed in 2010 for the start of the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (National Scheme). It has been jointly reviewed by 12 National Boards and Ahpra, including public consultation.

The revised code will come into effect on 29 June 2022 and applies to the following National Boards:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice
  • Chinese Medicine
  • Chiropractic
  • Dental
  • Medical radiation practice
  • Occupational therapy
  • Optometry
  • Osteopathy
  • Paramedicine
  • Pharmacy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Podiatry

An advance copy of the shared Code of conduct (the code) has been released to provide the public, practitioners, and other stakeholders the opportunity to become familiar with the new information and supporting resources before they come into effect on 29 June 2022.
